US Gulf coast braces for storm impact as hurricane season intensifies
Briefly

"As of Monday morning, Potential Tropical Cyclone Six is about 300 miles south of the Rio Grande and is expected to move north toward the Texas or Louisiana coast, possibly as a category one hurricane, according to the National Hurricane Center. This storm could bring heavy rain and flooding across northeast Mexico, southern Texas, Louisiana and southern Mississippi until Thursday."
"The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration has warned that this hurricane season could be above-normal, with as many as 25 named storms predicted. The fears stem from record ocean temperatures in the Atlantic, which are linked to the climate crisis driven by fossil fuel emissions."
