Two meteor showers will flash across the sky around the same time this week
Briefly

The Delta Aquariids occur every year with a peak of 15 to 20 meteors visible per hour in the Northern Hemisphere, lasting through August 21. The Alpha Capricornids produce around 5 meteors per hour, lasting through August 15.
Meteor showers, like Delta Aquariids and Alpha Capricornids, originate from cometary debris entering Earth's atmosphere, creating glowing pockets of air around fast-moving space rocks visible as shooting stars.
Alpha Capricornids produce fewer meteors but bright ones, making them worth watching. Viewing meteor showers is best under dark skies, away from city lights, and during cloudless nights with minimal moonlight.
