While floods closed Highway 11 between Kona and Hilo, some locations like the Aikane Plantation Coffee Co. experienced overflowed gulches trapping them down.
Despite the challenges, some locals found a silver lining, with one owner stating, 'the coffee is probably loving all this rain,' referring to drought relief.
