Researchers have unearthed 200 large dinosaur footprints at an Oxfordshire quarry, making it the biggest site of its kind in the UK, with tracks up to 150 metres long.
Prof. Kirsty Edgar describes the site as one of the most impressive track sites, highlighting the scale and size of the tracks that allow a glimpse into the past.
Gary Johnson recalls accidentally discovering the tracks, thinking the abnormality in the ground might be dinosaur footprints, which led to further excavation by a large team.
This excavation involved over 100 scientists, students, and volunteers who confirmed five trackways, primarily from plant-eating sauropods and a carnivorous megalosaurus.
