In February, Astroscale launched ADRAS-J to seek out a Japanese rocket in orbit for over 15 years, marking the first time a spacecraft photographed space debris from close range.
ADRAS-J conducted fly-around maneuvers of the H-IIA rocket, nearly the size of a city bus, discovering its appearance largely unchanged despite years in orbit.
