The Perseids are here. Here's how to see the 'fireballs' of summer's brightest meteor shower
Briefly

The Perseids meteor shower peaks before dawn Monday, producing 'bright blue meteors - and lots of them,' with more than 50 meteors per hour, lasting through Sept. 1.
The glowing pockets of air around fast-moving space rocks of different sizes cause 'bright fireballs,' making Perseids easier to spot than many other meteor showers.
Meteor showers are best viewed between midnight and predawn hours under dark, cloudless skies away from city lights, with the Northern Hemisphere having the best view of the Perseids.
