Warner Bros. Pictures has unveiled the first trailer for 'The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim', an animated prequel directed by Kenji Kamiyama, depicting the legendary King Helm Hammerhand's story and his battle against Wulf, a Dunlending lord.
Featuring the voice of Miranda Otto returning as Éowyn, the film focuses on Helm Hammerhand’s legacy during a desperate conflict that leads to the legendary Helm's Deep, blending established lore with new stories.
This animated film is set 183 years before Peter Jackson’s original trilogy, showcasing how the mighty fortress of Helm's Deep became a pivotal stronghold in the history of Rohan.
With a notable voice cast including Brian Cox and Gaia Wise, 'The War of the Rohirrim' is anticipated as a significant addition to the franchise, releasing in December 2023.
