Supermoon might disrupt stargazers watching Leonid meteor shower this weekend
Briefly

David Moore, CEO of Astronomy Ireland, highlighted the challenge posed by the supermoon, stating, 'With the full moon up, even cities have as good a sky as people have in the countryside.' He emphasized that the brightness of the moon would reduce the visibility of the meteors.
He advised stargazers, 'Human eyes are all you need and good eyesight. If you have binoculars or a telescope, don't use them,' as they limit the view of the sky.
Moore suggested, 'If it is partially cloudy, the trick is just to look in the clear patches because you can see the meteors in any part of the sky,' providing tips for optimal viewing.
He mentioned the ongoing nature of the meteor shower, stating, 'Those missing out on the shower's peak will still have a chance to catch the display as it is set to continue for several days,' offering hope for later viewers.
