An Italian coast guard spokesman reported that one body has been found in the wreck of the luxury yacht Bayesian, which sank after being struck by a waterspout.
The yacht, carrying 22 people, capsized during a severe storm, resulting in the rescue of 15 individuals, many of whom have been hospitalized but are in stable condition.
Reports indicate that the Bayesian was last spotted east of Palermo and had a navigation status of 'at anchor' before it capsized due to the unexpected severe weather.
Among those missing are four Britons, two Americans, and one Canadian, including a crew member, raising concerns as rescuers continue searching the area.
