A luxury yacht named Bayesian capsized off the coast of Sicily after being struck by a waterspout, resulting in one body found and six missing.
The 56-meter superyacht sank to a depth of about 50 meters, with one body located in the wreck but not yet recovered, according to the coast guard.
The yacht was reported to have 22 people aboard, with 15 rescued and hospitalized—including a one-year-old child—while six others remain missing.
The boat had left Milazzo in Sicily on August 14 and was last tracked at anchor near Palermo just before the storm occurred.
