Scientists find the hungriest black hole EVER detected
Briefly

'This black hole is having a feast,' said study co-author Dr Julia Scharwächter. The black hole, named LID-568, is devouring matter at an extraordinary rate of 40 times faster than the theoretical limit.
Dr Scharwächter said, 'This extreme case shows that a fast-feeding mechanism above the Eddington limit is one of the possible explanations for why we see these very heavy black holes so early in the Universe.' Their findings suggest a new perspective on black hole growth.
Even at just 1.5 billion years after the Big Bang, LID-568 produced far more X-ray radiation than theorized for its size, raising questions about black hole evolution.
