Russian scientists criticise cleanup efforts after oil spill in Black Sea

Viktor Danilov-Danilyan, head of the Water Problems Institute, criticized the clean-up efforts: "The volunteers have only shovels and useless plastic bags that rip apart. It's unthinkable!"

Sergei Ostakh from the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences warned, "No one should have illusions it will stay clean, calling for quick action as oil could soon reach shores in Crimea."
