James Webb Telescope Spots Bizarre Object That's Spewing Out Jets of Gases
Briefly

NASA scientists, using the James Webb Space Telescope, have discovered a unique centaur named 29P, emitting jets of gas that may offer insight into the early solar system.
According to study coauthor Geronimo Villanueva, the findings of Centaur 29P "challenge our ideas about how primordial objects are created and stored in the Kuiper Belt."
Lead author Sara Faggi stated, "Centaurs can be considered as some of the leftovers of our planetary system's formation. They preserve information about volatiles in the early stages of the solar system."
