Invasive bees shut down major Joshua Tree campground

The National Park Service closed Cottonwood Visitor Center and campground due to increased bee activity amid high temperatures, as bees seek water sources in the heat.
NPS spokesperson Meg Rockwell stated, "We advise visitors that bees are thirsty and looking for water. Our rangers were concerned that the amount we were seeing around the visitor center was a safety risk."
