How to see the elusive Draconid meteor shower
Briefly

The Draconid meteor shower, expected to peak Monday evening, is visible shortly after nightfall, making it unique among meteor showers that usually peak in the early morning.
The Draconids result from Earth intersecting with the debris trail of comet 21P/Giacobini-Zinner. Unlike other meteor showers, they produce fewer meteors, only about 10 per hour.
Stargazers might witness a meteor storm with the Draconids if Earth passes through a concentrated area of debris, leading to hundreds or thousands of meteors.
The shower, named for the constellation Draco, can feature meteors that are slower and visible for one or two seconds, offering a unique viewing experience.
