A mother recounted the harrowing experience of keeping her one-year-old daughter alive after their luxury yacht, the Bayesian, sank off the Sicilian coast. The storm struck unexpectedly, leading to the tragic loss of life and resulting in rescue efforts for those still missing.

According to the Italian coast guard, the Bayesian had 22 individuals aboard when it was hit by a violent storm. Although one man died, an Irish citizen was among the survivors rescued from the wreckage.
