The Euclid mission aims to create the largest 3D map of the universe, revealing 14 million galaxies and capturing billions of galaxies over six years.
Before Euclid, previous images lacked the resolution to show faint cirrus clouds in the Milky Way, which will now be visible in super-high resolution.
The newly released data represents only 1% of the final map, with a completed map expected to take in a third of the sky.
The completed Euclid map will provide insights into dark energy and dark matter, covering an area never before surveyed at such high detail.
