According to our findings, nearly 10 percent of patients with cutaneous T-cell lymphomas may have been underdiagnosed under the current 2022 criteria, potentially missing critical early treatment opportunities.
The updated criteria, which altered how we measure abnormal cells by using total counts instead of percentages, inadvertently led to many patients not receiving accurate diagnoses.
