An unmanned Chinese spacecraft touched down on the far side of the moon Sunday, marking its second mission to a lunar region no other country has landed on amidst growing international rivalry over space exploration.
China and the United States are in a competition to have the accolade of sending humans to the moon again, with the U.S. aiming for 2026 and China planning for 2030.
