Care home residents get to grips with snakes and spiders
Briefly

Residents at Magnolia Court experienced wildlife encounters with snakes, lizards, and spiders thanks to Wild Science therapy clinic. This initiative, led by experts Joshua Jameson and Sophie Richardson, aims to educate and engage communities through animal therapy. Magnolia Court's manager, Cosmin Tiriteu, emphasized the memorable nature of the experience, aimed at enhancing residents’ quality of life and creating lasting memories. The event aligns with Barchester Healthcare's commitment to providing stimulating activities for residents, particularly those in need of nursing and dementia care.
Feeling the snake and being up close and personal with exotic animals was a memorable experience, according to Magnolia Court manager Cosmin Tiriteu.
Wild Science was started by Joshua Jameson and Sophie Richardson in 2014 to run animal education and therapy workshops in schools and care homes.
