Our newest orbiting observatory, the James Webb Space Telescope, is sending back jaw-dropping images of galaxies, star-nursery nebulas, and supermassive stars in visible and infrared light.
The universe is accelerating in expansion due to dark energy; dark matter, undetectable particles like WIMPs and axions, and galaxies primarily made of dark matter pose ongoing enigmas.
