Yankees Mailbag: Verdugo's performance and Cleveland's comebacks
Briefly

At this point in the season, you can't really argue about anything other than results. Alex Verdugo hasn't been a world-beater since returning to the starting job in left, but he's been stable enough to not entice the Yankees out of changing their winning formula, and a little stability is nice to see with a lot of variables still to consider elsewhere on the roster.
There's certainly a lot to consider - on one hand, the Guardians are the No. 2 seed and after getting rattled around in the first two games have responded like a team positioned just below the Yankees should, taking one game back in comeback fashion while nearly stealing a second.
On the other hand, they've had a lot of defensive miscues giving New York key runs that ultimately put some of their wins out of reach. The Yankees aren't playing perfect baseball by any means either.
