I'm more than fine with the universal DH and pitchers not hitting anymore. Sure, there were some fun moments over the years, but towards the end there, they were becoming even more of an automatic out than they had been in the decades prior - which is saying something.
The DH does strip us of chances to see pitchers play the hero in multiple aspects of the game, like two different Yankee pitchers did in one 1943 doubleheader.
