The New York Yankees today announced that they have acquired right-handed pitcher Enyel De Los Santos and minor league right-handed pitcher Thomas Balboni Jr. from the San Diego Padres in exchange for minor league outfielder Brandon Lockridge.
De Los Santos emerged from anonymity in 2022 with a strong performance for the Cleveland Guardians, recording a 3.04 ERA, 2.62 FIP, and striking out 61 batters in 53.1 innings.
Lockridge, a longtime Yankees prospect drafted in 2018, showcased impressive skills in stolen bases and had a solid triple slash line in Triple-A before being traded to the Padres.
