Yankees 0, Rays 2: Nestor Cortes' brilliant start wasted in extras
Briefly

Nine innings weren't enough to break a scoreless tie at a packed Yankee Stadium ... to produce the only two runs of the game against Caleb Ferguson in the top of the tenth.
To say Yankees starter Nestor Cortes was magnificent on the mound would be an understatement. ... After the seven scoreless innings he tossed ... that ERA came down to a much better 3.41.
Unfortunately for him and the Yankees, Rays' pitcher Zach Eflin was just as good. The right-hander matched zeroes with him for six frames ... and struck out six.
The Rays bullpen was equally great ... to seal the game for Tampa. Adam notched the win, while Cleavinger saved his first game of the season.
