World Series Game 2 Reaction: Something's got to give
Briefly

Once again, the Dodgers' stars pulled through for LA, while the Yankees counterparts, for the most part, did not. The biggest difference here is that it felt like the Yankees almost never had a chance in Game 2. The Dodgers took the lead in the second, and while Juan Soto briefly tied it back up, New York's hope for this one was short lived. The Dodgers plated three more runs thanks to another homer from Freddie Freeman...
The Yankees did eventually show some urgency on offense in the ninth. Unsurprisingly, Soto flirted with another homer with a ball off the wall in right field to start the rally... with the pond full of ducks, Anthony Volpe flailed at a breaking ball from Blake Treinen, while pinch-hitter Jose Trevino swung at the first pitch and ultimately brought Game 2 to a close with a flyout.
