Why the Yankees should make Tommy Kahnle the new closer
Briefly

On Tuesday, with the bases loaded in a one-run game, Clay Holmes hung a slider down the middle... It may well be the last pitch Holmes throws as the Yankees' designated closer.
Manager Aaron Boone hinted as much, telling the press after Holmes' latest implosion that 'we have options down [in the bullpen] and we'll consider everything.'
Tommy Kahnle has lived many lives with the Yankees... He pitched well, working his way toward the back end of the bullpen that postseason as he pitched five scoreless innings.
