It's a testament to how well the Yankees started off June that they still enter play today with a chance to secure a winning record for the month.
After starting it 10-3, they've slumped terribly with a 3-10 record since then and are right back to even.
The saving grace today is that perhaps Gerrit Cole can break up the run of bad pitching, though even that offers no guarantees since he's still getting back into form and got rocked by the Mets his last time out.
Aaron Judge still needs more help in the lineup too, and there's at least a chance that Juan Soto rests his hand again in order to give him three days in a row (including tomorrow's offday).
