Start of Friday's Red Sox-Yankees game delayed due to weather
Briefly

Originally the plan was to move up the start of Friday's series opener between the Red Sox and Yankees to 6:30 p.m. to allow fans more time to catch Game 4 of the NBA Finals later in the evening.
The start of Friday's game was delayed due to inclement weather in the Boston area, making it the first rain delay of the season at Fenway Park.
Last September, rain also affected the Red Sox-Yankees games at Fenway Park, resulting in two games being postponed and rescheduled as doubleheaders the following day.
The Yankees lead with the best record in MLB at 49-22, while the Red Sox are currently third in the AL East at 35-34.
