New York Yankees @ Baltimore Orioles: Gerrit Cole vs. Cade Povich
Briefly

No series in mid-July is truly a must win, but this one is very much a "would like to have." After dropping two of three to the Rays and seven of their last eight series (with one tie), the Yankees are now headed up to Baltimore for a key AL East set against the Orioles.
Tonight in the opener, Gerrit Cole will get the start. A couple weeks ago, he made his season debut against Baltimore and was okay in an abbreviated start. He's hardly been dominant this season since returning, but you'd think he's about at the point where he could go 100+ pitches if he's good enough to.
The lineup behind him ... is an interesting one, to be generous. Despite calling up Jorbit Vivas this afternoon, the Yankees aren't giving a start just yet, seemingly wanting to avoid a lefty/lefty matchup.
Baltimore's lineup is plenty power-packed, while rookie Cade Povich will head to the mound for his seventh big-league start. The southpaw has had mixed results and even a couple stinkers in the mix.
