Furious Aaron Boone ejected for arguing after Aaron Judge strikeout, failed home run challenge
Briefly

In an intense game against the Rays, Yankees manager Aaron Boone received his first ejection of the season during the eighth inning after a series of contentious calls. The frustration started when Aaron Judge’s seemingly home run was called foul, a decision that stood after a challenge. Following another disputed call resulting in Judge striking out, Boone vehemently argued with umpires, ultimately leading to his ejection. Despite this incident, Boone has had fewer ejections this season compared to previous years, indicating a possible shift in approach.
Boone, who was ejected 39 times in his first seven seasons, earned his first of the year on Sunday as Max Fried was working on a no-hit bid through seven innings.
The frustrations began boiling one pitch earlier when Judge appeared to crush a home run down the left field line, only to have it called foul by third-base umpire Scott Barry.
Judge was then called out looking at strike three on the next pitch, which he did not agree with, and Boone popped out of the dugout to argue.
Home plate umpire Adam Beck had a quick hook for Boone, who then came out to argue with Beck before getting his money's worth with Barry at third base.
