According to reports, both the Yankees and Red Sox have checked in on Cubs starter Jameson Taillon... will likely require a decently high prospect cost - if the Cubs do indeed decide to sell, which is no guarantee.
The Detroit Tigers are apparently listening on young ace Tarik Skubal... while the Yankees have not yet been linked to Skubal, reports that the team is willing to part with Spencer Jones in order to add a young ace to their rotation suggest that they will pursue him if he does in fact become available.
Envisioned as the leadoff hitter before the season began, Yankees third baseman DJ LeMahieu found himself on the bench during yesterday's 6-4 loss to the Rays... it will be worth watching to see what the Yankees do with LeMahieu.
