1999 Yankees Diary, June 25: Yankees take thriller in Baltimore for fourth win in a row
Briefly

In the top of the first inning, Orioles starter Scott Erickson gave up two straight line drive singles to center to Chuck Knoblauch and Bernie Williams. Knoblauch advanced to third on Williams' single and, in the three hole, Derek Jeter hit a sacrifice fly to bring Knoblauch home.
Then, Tino Martinez hit another single to center field, and promptly, the next man up, Paul O'Neill, hits a sacrifice line out to bring Williams across home and give the Yankees a 2-0 lead. The inning ended without any further damage, and the Orioles responded just as quickly as the Yankees took the lead.
Yankees starter Hideki Irabu began the game with a walk to Brady Anderson and a single given up to Mike Bordick, putting Anderson at third. Bordick then stole second, putting both Orioles in scoring position, and with one swing of the bat by B.J. Surhoff, the game was tied at 2-2 with a single.
Adding some insurance in the top of the fourth, a one-out double by Scott Brosius in the nine spot and a single to right by Knoblauch put the Yankees up by two before going down without anymore damage done.
