Rangers Unveil Stadium Series Sweater
Briefly

It's an interesting design that sees the Rangers moving away from a version of the shield logo, or the Statue of Liberty logo. Instead, they are going with the 'NYR' abbreviation in large, diagonal letters (consistent, of course, with their standard 'Rangers' sweaters). The letters and numbers are red with blue outlining, against a white sweater with a bottom stripe and arm stripes. Names on the back of the sweater are in blue letters.
As with any new sweater, this one is sure to provide polarized opinions. Personally, I like them. But, as far as alternate/unique sweaters go, I still prefer their 2012 Winter Classic sweaters, as well as the alternates they wore from 2010 until 2017.
Another overlooked aspect of new sweater introductions is how they look with the pants for the full uniform. I liked this year's alternate shield logo sweater much more when I saw it in action for the first time as part of the full uniform set. We'll have to wait until the game at MetLife Stadium (the home of the NFL's New York Giants and New York Jets) on Feb. 18 to see the full thing.
