The New York Rangers swept the Washington Capitals. They won Game 1 in time for last week's poll, and completed the sweep with a 4-3 win in Game 2, a 3-1 win in Game 3, and a 4-2 win in Game 4.
The Rangers made things easier on themselves by not letting the Caps in the series and going for the throat. It wasn't pretty, but it worked.
Line matchups were key, and played a role in shutting down Alex Ovechkin.
Guys like Igor Shesterkin and Mika Zibanejad will get a ton of credit, but Barclay Goodrow has been solid so far and shouldn't be ignored.
