There are reasons to be optimistic, but it's also still just July 3. There are still moves to be made. It's still been a disappointing offseason thus far, but that doesn't mean the Rangers are all doom and gloom, right?
They also upgraded with Reilly Smith over Blake Wheeler and Zac Jones (probably) over Erik Gustafsson.
