Tylor Megill showed resilience after a challenging season, delivering a solid performance with 5.1 innings pitched, allowing just one run, helping the Mets secure a win.
"Kept making pitches when needed," Carlos Mendoza said of Megill's performance after the game. "Got out of the bases-loaded jam and gave us what we needed."
"The first two innings were hard work," Megill said of his outing. "Getting behind early, but after that locked it in and was cruising after that."
"Just getting ahead and attacking hitters," Megill said. "Once the fifth inning rolls around you stay on the attack with all your pitches."
