Twins Acquire Michael Tonkin From Mets
Briefly

The Twins have acquired right-hander Michael Tonkin from the Mets, per a team announcement. The Mets designated Tonkin for assignment last week, and the Twins swooped in to bring him into the fold.
In order to create active roster space for Tonkin, the team now placed an outfielder on the 10-day injured list with a right knee contusion. This move allowed Tonkin to join the Twins' active roster.
Additionally, a right-hander was transferred to the 60-day Injured List due to a right shoulder strain. This transaction resulted in an open spot on the 40-man roster for the Twins.
