The New York Mets, who drafted Alonso and employed him seven seasons, are not listed among teams he intends to meet. Alonso knows the Mets organization well and the club expects to remain in contact. Alonso's market moved faster than last year; a lack of interest previously forced him into a two-year, $54 million contract that he opted out of after the 2025 season.
