Mets' Francisco Lindor makes big walk-up music change
Briefly

Francisco Lindor, the Mets shortstop, has decided to alternate his walk-up song, adding "Ain't No Mountain High Enough" by Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell to his current selection of "My Girl." This change is meant to keep things fresh while still acknowledging the significance of "My Girl" to fans, especially since The Temptations performed it live at Citi Field during the playoffs last year, creating a memorable atmosphere. Lindor reflected on the importance of a walk-up song in creating a connection with the audience and enhancing the game experience.
"It was an amazing moment, to be quite honest," Lindor said after that game. "Most players pick a walk-up song just because that's how they feel at the moment, but we also want the fans to vibe to a song."
Gelbs noted that Lindor, someone who likes to keep things fresh and make changes, did consider removing 'My Girl' entirely from the rotation but understood what it has meant to fans.
"So having The Temptations here singing the national anthem and then singing the song, one of their biggest hits, and seeing how the crowd got behind it, it was pretty cool."
