Assistant Commissioner Pippa Mills stated that 'Officers are quite rightly held to account for wrongdoing by the courts' and emphasized the importance of accountability.
Acting commander Detective Superintendent Vanessa Britton expressed support for the victim, highlighting her courage in coming forward and the necessity for officer accountability.
Following the misconduct hearing, Assistant Commissioner Pippa Mills confirmed Poonsawat's immediate dismissal from the force, stressing he 'has no place in the Met'.
