Man killed by subway train outside of Mets game
Briefly

A train operator witnessed the man walk on on a catwalk and lay on the tracks in front of a southbound 7 train before it could stop.
The incident caused 7 trains in both directions to be delayed for hours as fans were pouring out of the ballpark.
Police confirmed the man was declared dead at the scene shortly after being struck, during a tense moment just as the Mets' game concluded.
By 8:30 p.m., regular 7 train service had resumed with some residual delays, according to an MTA spokesperson.
