Former Dodger J.D. Martinez won't be ready for his Mets debut until April 26 due to a back injury. Martinez, a six-time All-Star, had impressive stats last season with the Dodgers.
Martinez had been slated to begin swinging a bat on Monday and resume his rehab assignment later this week, but he will require additional time for rehab before being activated.
