Hammerin' Mets
Briefly

The Mets visited Atlanta on the 30th, 40th, and 50th anniversaries of Hank Aaron's 715th home run, coinciding with the Braves game every season, turning the games into commemorations of one of baseball's greatest players and achievements.
During a tribute game, the Mets recreated a 1973 match where Aaron homered against them, mirroring the final score of Mets 8 Braves 7. This game marked a significant era with Aaron and Willie Mays defining much of the National League's charm.
In a remarkable comeback game, the Mets battled from a 7-1 deficit with a seven-run ninth inning. Tug McGraw, having a struggling season, started the game, eventually finding his form as the team rallied to victory with key homers by Staub and Milner.
