Gut Reaction: Mets 7, Rockies 3 (7/13/24)
Briefly

Francisco Lindor made life a lot easier with a 3-run homer in the bottom of the eighth inning, which gives him 17 HR for the year and 51 RBIs. The Mets only had six hits in the game but were aided by six walks, a HBP and the aforementioned bad defense.
The Mets put up a four-spot in the second inning, aided by some shaky defense. The big hit was a two-run double by Jeff McNeil.
Christian Scott started for the Mets but was victimized by the gopher ball again, this time giving up two homers. Jose Butto relieved him and went 2.2 IP to get the win, while Dedniel Nunez pitched the final two frames to earn his first save.
