Ex-Dodgers All-Star Slugger Mentioned As Possible Option For Mets
Briefly

"With Daniel Vogelbach non-tendered, the leading candidates to fill the designated hitter role for the Mets are D.J. Stewart and Mark Vientos, so it's not surprising the team has been linked to veteran slugger J.D. Martinez," Reuter said. "The 36-year-old posted a 134 OPS+ with 33 home runs and 103 RBI last season playing on a one-year deal with the Los Angeles Dodgers, and he could slot in perfectly alongside Francisco Lindor and Pete Alonso in the starting lineup."
Martinez impressed last season with Los Angeles and clubbed 33 home runs and drove in 103 runs in 113 games. He certainly helped the Dodgers out, but with the addition of Shohei Ohtani, there no longer is a spot for Martinez.
