Dedniel Nunez shows what Mets missed in playoffs during spring debut as cautious plan awaits
Briefly

Dedniel Núñez returned to action after a long absence due to injuries, having pitched just once since August last season. In his first appearance of the Grapefruit League, he delivered a scoreless inning despite the Mets' 2-0 loss to the Rays. Núñez expressed optimism about his health and readiness for the season, which excited the Mets management. He previously excelled for Triple-A Syracuse and became a vital part of the bullpen in his rookie season, illustrating the importance of maintaining his health for the team's success.
I felt great today. I felt healthy. I just want to make sure that I continue to feel strong and healthy as I prepare for Opening Day.
We're talking about a guy that wasn't even in big league camp for us at the beginning of the year... that is why keeping this guy healthy is important, especially this guy, because he is a big part of that bullpen.
It was a frustrating situation and I thought there were opportunities there that I could have helped contribute to the team's success. But God has a plan for everything and I am just happy to be back.
