After throwing just nine pitches, Minter found discomfort initially in his triceps before discovering the real injury source. Manager Carlos Mendoza anticipated the move to the IL. Despite the setback, Minter expressed a positive outlook about avoiding more severe injuries and hopes to return to bolster the bullpen, which currently boasts a low ERA.
Minter expressed relief that the injury wasn't worse, stating, "I'm just glad it wasn't my elbow. That was what I was really, I guess, happy about."
Minter described his frustration, saying, "It's super frustrating... I was happy with the way the ball is coming out, and obviously the team's off to a great start."
