Free agent F OG Anunoby intends to sign a five-year, $212.5 million contract to return to the New York Knicks, sources tell ESPN. Deal will include a player option and a trade kicker.
The annual amount of OG Anunoby's new contract with the Knicks, $42.5 million, is more than double what he had opted-out of, $19.9 million.
If the Knicks start Anunoby at his lowest possible starting salary to save room under the hard cap next season, this is what a 5-yr, $212.5M contract would look like: 2024-25: $36.6M, 2025-26: $39.6M, 2026-27: $42.5M, 2027-28: $45.4M, 2028-29: $48.3M.
