Nets' Carter, Knicks' Barnett get call to Hall
Briefly

Vince Carter, along with Chauncey Billups and Knicks great Dick Barnett, was elected to the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame. Carter's legacy includes being known as one of basketball's greatest dunkers and the first player to appear in four different decades.
Dick Barnett spent eight seasons of his career with the Knicks, being part of their championship teams in 1970 and 1973. He was an All-Star in 1968, and the Knicks retired his No. 12 jersey in 1990, joining other Knicks legends in Hall of Fame.
"To get the call on April Fool's Day, I needed a moment just to process it and make sure this was real," Carter expressed on ESPN. He conveyed his deep appreciation for being part of the elite Hoop Hall of Fame, describing the moment as surreal and wonderful.
"Just the competitive nature that he had, just the innovation he had," Ollie, Nets interim coach, praised Carter for his unique talent and game-changing contributions. He highlighted Carter's joy in playing basketball and the significance of his skill development.
